Ponta Grossa is well-known for its festivals. In November and December, a national stout festival, called Münchenfest, is held. This lasts for ten days and attracts over 100,000 visitors every year. Another example is the University Song Festival (FUC), a major musical event with live performances of nationally celebrated artists.
There are also a lot of opportunities to visit cinemas, theatres and live performances for all Music genres. Besides the live Music Ponta Grossa has its own radio stations, such as Radio Mix, MZ FM and Mundi FM.
In the north of Ponta Grossa is the Carambeí Historical Park, an outdoor museum of 100,000 square meters where there will be for example a rural village, replicas of the railway station and farms from the First years of settlement of the beginning of the 20th century.
